Welcome to Palau, located in the Caribbean Sea this is one of the best spots in the world to encounter Sperm Whales. This is a lesser know destination, but researchers believe it to be one of the most productive places in the Caribbean to encounter cetaceans and specifically Sperm Whales

Join us on this Ocean Safari where we spend 3 days at sea searching for Sperm Whales to swim with and any other Pelagics we may encounter along the way using our hydrophones and local captains’ knowledge. Area is also known for the occasional Orcas sightings as well, fingers crossed.

Saint Vincent is a unique destination in that it still allows the hunting of whales and dolphins specifically Humpbacks in Bequia and Pilot Whales in Saint Vincent. Our Captain is from the most prominent of these whaling towns Barrouallie. Part of this initiative is to create a whaleswim industry for the captains in Barrouallie to provide an economic alternative to the “Blackfish” hunting. We will learn about the people, town and their history while developing this alternative.

We at Seacraved, believe this is a platform to provoke change in a manner without forcing it upon people as no one enjoys that. We believe this whaleswim program in Saint Vincent has great potential to help the overall Cetacean populations of the Caribbean and we look forward to your helping us with it!

No Scuba certification needed.

We chartered a boat just for us, and we'll get 7-8 hours a day to find and swim with these gentle giants.

With regards to the year round nature of the population in Saint Vincent we foresee a reasonable likelihood of quality encounters.

Please keep in minds there are no guarantees as these are wild animals and it is up to them if they want to interact.

TOUR ITINERARY

Confirmed trip dates include:

Apr 24-29, 2027

Day 1: Arrive in Palau and be transferred to our hotel on the south west of the island

Day 2- 4: Breakfast then head out to swim with Sperm Whales and anything else we see!

Day 5: Transfer back to Airport for your flights home. Most flights are in the afternoon so there will the option for an island tour at an additional cost.

Experience Level

There is no SCUBA on these expeditions, so all you need is the ability to swim with mask, snorkel and fins.
